This young man is a very hard worker who struggled to gain employment because of his addictions. The resulting behaviour from his addictions presented some major personal challenges which impacted heavily on his ability to secure and hold employment. With significant support from Te Whangai Trust over a sustained period he reduced his drug use to the point where an employer was willing to give him a work trial. He made such a good impression that a full time position was offered to him and he was given a pay rise at the end of his 3 month probation period.
